“The show will explore an array of metaphysical topics, inspiring guest speakers, and will highlight Tursi’s psychic reading mini-sessions for callers.

Tursi is a gifted and multi-faceted energy healer, psychic, and medium. A fourth-generation psychic, she was born with a vivid awareness of her sixth sense. She has committed her life to deepening and expanding her gifts, and today she offers these gifts of sight, hearing, and knowing to help those who seek deeper understanding and meaning in their lives. Tursi also cleanses homes and land of negative spirits and influences, provides death transition counseling, and helps in criminal, death-related investigations.

Existence is What We Live for … Adventure is our Journey

Topics of metaphysical exploration, with guests and listeners, will vary weekly. Check here for the current week’s topic.

Callers are encouraged to ask questions they have been hesitant to ask. Questions that will expand awareness of themselves, bring clarity about an event or relationship, uncover limiting beliefs or perceptions, or perhaps even foster a deeper understanding of life—and death—transitions.

About Nancy

Nancy Tursi was a bright and curious little girl; she believed that everyone could see and hear into the other realms as she did. As she grew older, however, she realized that not everyone shared her psychic abilities. She also came to understand that although everyone has some psychic ability, it is a personal choice to use the gift or let it lie dormant.

Nancy is a gifted and multi-faceted energy healer, psychic, and medium. A fourth-generation psychic, she was born with a vivid awareness of her sixth sense. She has committed her life to deepening and expanding her gifts, and today, she offers these gifts of sight and knowing to help you on your life’s journey.

Nancy’s natural sensitivity keeps her sessions warm and conversational. Her insights are direct and can help you change perspectives that no longer serve you. In the safe and open space Nancy creates, you are free to ask the questions you have been hesitant to ask … you can expand your awareness of your ‘self’ … you can better understand some personal experience. Be ready to unlock potential opportunities that you can investigate lightly or explore in depth.

Accept Nancy’s invitation to experience the journey into a newly-found awareness. “

Come check out Nancy’s talk show. Nancy is truly a talented woman who’s areas of expertise are wide spread. I am very pleased to say that she is one of my former students. :)

Yours truly with Nancy Tursi

The power of “Thank You”

Posted by cherianne on June 11, 2008

Words are very powerful when expressed to others, whether it be written or verbal. Words said with feeling, whether in anger or in a heart-felt manner can make an impact sometimes more than we realize. Last month, I found out just how much of an impact saying “Thank You” could actually be.

To share a little bit of myself, before I lost my home in Flint two years ago, I was in the middle of major dental work. I found out that I had peridontal disease and I needed all of my teeth extracted. When the economy fell in Flint, I was left with 5 teeth in my mouth and a major gap in between my top teeth where I had a tooth extracted. When the economy fell, there wasn’t any minimum wage jobs, and what ones were available kept telling me no, or come back after I had my teeth fixed. So much for getting them fixed with no job nor dental insurance. Before I lost my work, I didn’t even have dental insurance, I was paying out of my own pocket which was well into the thousands in cost. With no help from the state because I wasn’t pregnant, with children, nor disabled or a senior, I lost my home of seven years.

To keep the story short, I moved here to Traverse City back in January of this year. I stayed at a shelter here during the winter so that I could have a roof over my head, and work for the temp agency job that I had acquired the day after I came up here. My hopes was to have a warm place to stay, so that I could save up the money for a place to live, but much to my amazement, I received far more help than I could have hoped for.

I finally received health insurance through the state, as well as through Grand Traverse County, although dental wasn’t included with it. But through help available, I was able to get an emergency extraction done on 3 of my teeth, and was told that I could keep my bi-cuspids. When I looked into dental help for no and low income people, I was steered towards the Dental Clinics North, who works in conjunction with the Traverse City Health Dept. I was finally accepted for dental insurance, which paid for $600 of my bill for my dentures, but left me with a remaining balance of $870 to pay on my own. The secretary there sent me down the hall after she saw the look of dismay in my face, and had me ask the lady who worked in the Health Dept office if they had any funding to help me with the rest of the balance. A couple of phone calls from her (I love how prompt she is in returning phone calls :) ), and a few days later, I was crying while talking on the phone with her when she said that they would cover the $870 of my balance, all I needed to do was make and keep my appointments. She also asked that if I could write a letter of thank you, and tell how receiving the money for my dentures would affect my life as they use those thank you letters to try to get more funding for women the following year. I was like, no problem. I mean, wow! to me, that was so little that I could do for so much that they helped me with, and they didn’t even know me. I was a stranger to them.

A month later, I was called by the lady at the Health Dept, and asked to attend a little annual meeting/dinner for the organization that helps them with their grants. At first I was hesitant, because I was like, why me? Then she explained that only 3 of 29 women that was helped this past year had written a thank you letter, and mine and another lady’s letters were so heart-felt expressed, that the organization wanted to meet us. Just wanting to say thank you verbally, I went.

The organization is the Women’s Healthcare Giving Circle of Traverse City. When I looked on the web, I found out that various states in the US have groups like this as well, although very few. When I walked into the meeting, seeing that it was about what things to help with funding on women’s health care, and that they voted yes or no on these different topics of concern, I decided to share my story with them when I went up to the podium to say thank you.

Mind you, my knees were knocking big time. lol I’m not one to give speeches, in fact I never had before, that was my first. But I was still toothless because I hadn’t received my dentures yet due to some complications. So I had no idea how these women would take me. I mean these women were affluent women. They were also very kind, and caring women I found out after my fear dissipated. So I stepped up to the podium, and shared my story with them, and said thank you again, choking on my last words because it was so emotional for me. Afterwards, I had some of the women come up and thank me for having the courage to step up and tell my story. My only hope was that if they saw how much the money had helped us, that maybe they would continue to help.

Two weeks later I received a phone call from the lady at the Health Dept who has now become a friend of mine. :) I found out that they did receive their grant for this year. Yeah!! This grant is for women, from women. But it helps out with prescriptions and health needs for women, even health awareness, like screening for breast cancer and such. Also with children’s health, prenatal, dental and so much more. The Health Dept does a lot for people, and this grant was to help with that. The average amount of money to help per person is up to $500, but depending on the circumstances, like mine, they will allow more. Given the fact that they helped 29 women this past year, that is a lot of money. So my speech and thank you, just enabled the Health Dept to help that many more women this coming year.

The power of the words “Thank You” can make a huge difference in the world. :)

Hold on to those old copper pennies, they’re not just used for money anymore.

Posted by cherianne on June 9, 2008

Throughout the centuries, from ancient Egyptians, Aztecs, Romans, to modern day society, copper has been used in various ways for healing. Most common uses that copper is being used for is arthritis, tendinitis, and in some reported cases, carpal tunnel. In the 19th century, scientists uncovered ways to use copper’s antimicrobial properties to contain infections and disease on a large-scale. Commercial applications of Copper Healing are alleged to enhance skin complexion, including the appearance of skin texture and tone, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes. It has also been suggested that copper is a key player in skin regeneration.

Modern day applications are Sportswear, Hospital Care Products, Healthcare Textiles, Military/Industrial Clothing, Bedding and Bedrooms, Cosmetics, Multivitamins and Jewelry.

Mental Healing
According to New Age healers, Copper can stimulate the flow of energy and hence move Psychic or Mental energies thereby helping the wearer overcome lethargic tendencies, resulting in a more vitalized person with amplified thoughts. They also attribute powers of communication, channeling, cleansing, purification, increasing self-esteem and freeing the wearer of mental burdens.

Physical Healing
Beginning in the 1970s in the United States, Copper use as a healing agent began to see an increase. People who believe in its power esteem it as a very powerful assistant with Arthritic and Rheumatic diseases, but also look to it for its healing properties in improving the circulation of blood, increasing energy, detoxification, reducing inflammation, stabilizing metabolism and improving Oxygen use.

Spirituality Healing
Because Copper is a good physical conductor or electricity and heat, Copper is the conductor of the Spiritualist’s belief system. Copper has the ability to conduct spiritual energy back and forth from individuals, crystals, auras, the mind and the spirit world. They also believe it has the power to amplifying thoughts in receiving and sending psychic (or telepathic) communication. New Age followers also carry it with their stones and crystals to “straighten” the properties of the crystals and use it when creating crystal wands.

Before you rush out to by a bunch of copper wire, and to save you a bit of money, old pennies will work in a pinch for various mental, physical and spiritual healings.

How to tell that your penny is made of copper (not all are), if your penny has the date of 1982 or before, it has 95% copper in it. In 1982, both copper and zinc was minted for pennies. There are a couple of ways in this article about pennies to help you determine whether your penny is copper or zinc. According to the United States Mint in 1943, the penny’s composition was changed to zinc-coated steel. This change was due to the critical use of copper for the war effort. However, a limited number of copper pennies were minted that year. There are also some other dates that you might want to read about in that article where the United States Mint had changed the composition in the penny.

For those of you who want to purchase some cheap copper wire to make bracelets for yourself, you can do so at any local hardware store. I have found copper wire to be cheaper at hardware stores, and Ben Franklin versus purchasing it at a more high-end craft store. But it does depend on what you want to use the wire for. For temporary bracelets for myself (where I’m more concerned with the healing aspects versus looks at the moment) I have purchased 18 gauge wire at my local hardware store. For more sophisticated jewelry that I am planning on making and selling, I would go to Ben Franklin or a higher-end crafts store. A tip to remember when purchasing copper wire, the smaller the gauge size, the thicker the copper wire.

For those who worry about the “green” tarnish that untreated copper leaves behind, don’t. :) The “green” tarnish that copper leaves behind on our skin is where our body is absorbing the copper that our bodies need, especially if we aren’t getting enough in our vitamins. It easily washes off with soap and water. :) For cleaning untreated copper (or copper bottomed pans, etc) I have read where you can use ketchup, spaghetti sauce or tomato juice (it’s the tomato ingredient that is supposedly to work well on cleaning copper) or you can use a mixture of lemon juice and salt made into a paste for heavy tarnish. Research that on the net, and as always, use with caution to avoid damaging a pricey object. :)

I hope that you have enjoyed reading my post on the uses of copper. :)
Happy healing. :D

I Miss You

Posted by cherianne on June 8, 2008

to my mother, Laurie June 7, 1948 to December 22, 1995

The summer was high,
I see the brilliant colors in my mind’s eye.
Do you remember the times that we had?
Laughing and loving while you were my friend?
Watching the water as the tide rushes in,
Wanting to say words, but never knowing where to begin?
Now that I am older and sadly alone,
The words come to me that I had always known.
Those few and precious words that I know in my heart to be true,
I love you and I miss you.

I Wish

Posted by cherianne on June 8, 2008

The rain beats down, slapping against the windowpanes.
Cars drive by splashing mud up on the sidewalks, with neither cause nor concern of me walking by.
Tattered coat, hair plastered to my head, dripping water underneath my coat neckline.
My heart feeling heavy with despair, shame, and struggling pride, with a desperate need to survive.
I just closed and locked the door of what was my own.
Closed the door to the happiness, warmth, and love that I had ever known.
Slips of paper taped to my door, saying I must pay; I looked at the holes in my pockets and drooped my head some more. Beating the concrete until my feet are sore, trying to think of anything else but the growing hunger rumblings inside my stomach. Passing by places that were once lit with lights and full of people, now windows are dark or covered with boards.

I go pleading to the state asking, begging for help to save my home, with tears in my eyes.
And the state asks, “Are you disabled?”
“No.” I replied and shook my head.
“Do you have any children?” the state asks me, trying to seek a way to help me.
“No.” I replied again, and my head hung even lower with despair.
“I’m sorry but we cannot help you.” the state replied.
“You can’t help someone who needs a job, who would rather work than beg you for help? Especially when there is no work to be found?”
The state replied, “I’m sorry, but we just can’t.”
“We don’t have much money either you see.”
I looked at the state, the growing despair of proud people gathering in the building seeking help, proud people who worked good jobs, hard workers. None of us deserved this. And I said, “I wish…”
I wish for the days when jobs were plentiful, when laughter rang throughout the air.
Before the towers fell, before the wars began.

I turned and looked at my home, and sadly said, “I wish I could keep you my friend.”
And locked the door like so many along with me already had. And walked through the rain, and mud, while cars drove by, windshield wipers slapping a tempo echoing inside my head. I then looked up at the sky full of water, and gray, heavy clouds. Up to the Heavens where I know that God must reside.
And I said out loud, “I wish.”
And walked through the pouring rain with my head a little higher toward my unknown destiny.
